HAPPY ARE THOSE WHOSE LIVES ARE FAULTLESS, WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF THE LORD. HAPPY ARE THOSE WHO FOLLOW HIS COMMANDS, WHO OBEY HIM WITH ALL THEIR HEART.

PSALM 11 : 1 - 2

But those who proclaim God’s message speak to people and give them help, encouragement and comfort.
1 Corinthians 14 : 3

LET US PRAY FOR

Our Ministers
We praise and thank You, Lord, for those You have given us to minister to this congregation. You have inspired him by Your Spirit, and teach him the message that You desire Your people to hear. Bless and help him each day, Lord, to live as You require, and to be helpful and caring to all people. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and may his heart know love for all people. Bless him and his family Lord, as they serve You each day, and bring them close to learn more about You. Thank You for Your call upon his life, and his acceptance of Your will and way each day.

Church
We thank You Lord, for gathering us together in this place You have provided for us. As we meet as Your family may we be encouraged through worship and service to live each day as Your own. You have gathered us together to be able to hear Your word preached, and the lessons taught to us all. You have given us a place where we can worship and honour You, and grow closer to You through the teaching that is given here. Bless us Lord as we gather together in Your Name, seeking Your will and way for our lives.

Church Leaders
There are many who have stepped forward in answer to Your call to serve You. We thank You for the opportunity to teach others about You, and to encourage them to grow in their walk of faith. As they teach and help people may they be used by you to spread the Gospel message to many. Thank You for each one who has stepped up and is prepared to serve where You require them to be.

South Africa
God, bless South Africa, we pray. Many have answered Your call to help others to know about You, and we thank You for their response. May they be strong in their desire to help others to live as You require. Bless those who are in Government, Lord, and guide them according to Your will and way. Bless the leaders of our land and may they serve honestly and with integrity, doing their best to advance South Africa for the betterment of the people and our country. We pray too, for rain to fall in those areas where drought is still prevalent. God, bless South Africa and her people!

The Needy
There are many in need this day, Lord. Some are facing serious illness, or hospitalisation, and we pray for their recovery. Others have great difficulties and we ask for Your hand of help be with them in this time. God, bless all those we name before You now. Thank You, Lord!

Monday 2nd April Psalm 54 : 1 - 7
God is on our side! For those who are fearful through circumstances, or attack, need to turn to the Lord our God. He is ever near, to protect His own, to watch out for enemies and to prevent any harm coming against them. Daily we come upon instances where we could be harmed yet are not, for God’s presence protects us. We travel on dangerous roads, yet we can trust God to help us get to our destination safely. All around we hear of attacks, murders, burglary or threats, yet we need not fear. Our trust is in the Lord God Almighty. We belong to Him and He is our companion and protector. God has a plan for our lives and will ensure it comes to fruition. Give thanks to our Lord and our God for His daily protection. Praise the Lord. His Power and Might protect His own at all times.

Tuesday 3rd April Matthew 15 : 1 - 9
Honour others! We learn from the beginning to honour our father, mother and also to honour God above all others. In this modern age we see the disrespect that young people have for elders. They don’t see the wisdom and knowledge that older people have and treat them without due thought and honour. All people should honour God above mankind, for He is our Creator Lord, all wise, all knowledgeable and all loving. Give Him the respect that is His due. Once we live honouring God we will find it easy to honour our elders too. This is what Jesus taught when He said, ’Love God and one another.’ If we do this we please God and He will guide our ways. Let your heart belong to God. Worship and honour Him and all will be well in your life. Praise God – He is Almighty, worthy of our praise and thanksgiving!

Wednesday 4th April John 7 : 16 - 18
Are you willing? Jesus was sent to teach us a new way of living – a way that would lead us from a self-centred life to one that obeys God in every way. If we desire this way then we will seek the Lord with heart, soul, mind and strength. Our allegiance is to God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ, and we want to know the right way to live. We can then turn our back on our old ways and accept what God requires of us. Jesus Himself is our Teacher, and we learn, day by day, how to draw close to our God. We are eager to hear His commands, but most of all we need to be willing to change. We have to give up our self-seeking ways, and listen to what God requires of us. Jesus teaches us. He has heard from God what He is required to teach us. He is honest, righteous and true in all His ways. Follow Jesus and learn from Him!

Thursday 5th April Hosea 6 : 3 - 6
What God requires! God knows us so well. The world and all its attractions welcomes us and we turn away from our faithful God. He tells us that our love for Him disappears like morning mist before the sun. He requires more from us than our unfaithful response. God says to us, “what I want from you is plain and clear. I want your constant love! I would rather have My people know Me than burn offerings to Me.” How do we react to these words from our Lord? Do our hearts turn to Him in repentance, wanting to know His touch of love and His instructions for our lives? Do we want to do what God requires? Let love for God rise up in our hearts. Seek Him, converse with Him and hear His words of welcome. Worship the Lord our God. He is faithful and true and desires the best we can give. Praise His Holy name. He is our Father God!

Friday 6th April Isaiah 54 : 1 - 10
God’s love is everlasting! God has a wonderful promise for us. He longs to care for us and to comfort us in our sorrow, to save us from our distress and loneliness. His promises are to be trusted. He comes to us in our time of need, and tells us to extend our tent pegs and ties – for He is providing for us. His love for His own will never end. It is assuring to know that God, Creator and Master of all loves us with an unending love. He knows our pain and sorrow. He knows our loneliness. He knows the struggles that we face and comes to tell us that we are not alone, for He is always near. Cry out to the Lord of all. Seek him in your lonely room. Our Lord will come and gather you close to comfort you and strengthen your resolve. He will put your feet back on the path of righteousness that leads to the holy place of meeting. God’s love is constant and true to us!

Saturday 7th April Acts 17 : 22 - 34
Our God is not unknown! There is a stone altar in Athens that is dedicated ‘To an Unknown God.’ How long it has been there is not known, but Paul, more than 2000 years ago told the people of Athens that he knew this ‘Unknown God.’ It is an altar to our God, Maker of Heaven and Earth, Father of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Each one of us has the honour to know this Unknown God. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we are introduced to God Almighty, and come to know Him and worship Him. He is Lord of all! No one can say that He does not exist, for we all live by His Grace, Mercy and Love. He brought mankind into being. He loves us, each one. He knows us by name, and guides and helps us in our day to day living. Give praise to the God of All. Worship His Holy Name. He is our Father God, and He is not unknown!

Sunday 8th April
Father God, we give all thanks and praise to You. You are our Lord and our God and we desire no one else but You. You care for us in so many ways, watching over us with Fatherly love, and encouraging us to get to know Your Son, Jesus, in a deeper, more personal way. We thank and praise You for making the way possible for us to come close to learn of You and Your dear Son, Jesus. Teach us Your will and way, Lord, and guide us day by day so that we live as You require. You are Lord of all and hold the world in Your hands. We pray for all our loves ones Lord, that they may come to know you in a deeper, more loving way and listen and obey Your laws and instructions. Blessed are You, Lord, God, and Your Son, our Saviour Lord. We worship and honour You, desiring to always know Your will and live our lives in humble obedience to You. Blessed is the Name of our God! Holy is He and we rejoice in His Son, our Lord and Saviour. Thank You for the Holy Spirit our teacher and guide. Thanks be to God Almighty, Father of all, and His Son Jesus Christ. Praise God, now and always. Hallelieuia!

Unceasing Prayer

I want to tell you of a wonderful way of living always in God’s presence. I cannot witness that I have entered fully into this life of perpetual communion with the Father, but I have caught enough glimpses that I know it to be the best, the finest, the fullest way of living.
Ordinary people throughout the ages tell us it is possible. Brother Lawrence shares simply, “There is no mode of life in the world more pleasing and more full of delight than continual conversation with God.” Let the memory of Jesus combine with your breath. Prayer unites the soul to God. Unceasing prayer consists of an unceasing invocation of the name of God.
