When, however, the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, He will lead you into all the truth.

John 15 : 13

Our Ministers

Thank You Lord for the extremely efficient and able person You have appointed to be the leader at our church. You have called him to be Your own, and have equipped him with the many talents that You require him to use in service for You. He is faithful and true to You Lord, and seeks You often through prayer and study to ensure that the message he brings to Your people is one that will build them up and encourage them in their own faith walk. Bless him Lord, by Your Holy Spirit, and encourage him in his relationship with You. You have called him to be Your own, and guide and bless him day by day. Thank You too Lord, for his family. Keep them safe and always an encouragement to him.

As we gather together as Your people Lord, we are blessed by Your presence with us, which encourages us in our faith walk with You. We thank You for every person who joins with us as we gather to worship and praise Your Holy Name. We also thank You for the faithful followers who come so regularly to join in the worship and to hear the lesson prepared for us. May all who come be blessed by You and uplifted as they join in the worship and fellowship in this church, dedicated to You, our Lord and our God!

Church Leaders

You did not intend the leader of this church to stand alone with the full burden of running the activities, but have sent men and women to work alongside him, to spread the load and to interact with other members of the church. We thank You for each one who has stepped up to take on the role of leadership and is willing to help others to grow in their faith walk with You. Bless all those who work so faithfully to extend Your Kingdom and to help others grow to know You in a deeper, more faithful way. Bless all our leaders, Lord!

South Africa

Bless our land, O Lord, we pray! Make her safe by night and day! We ask for Your help and guidance for the leaders of South Africa, Lord God. Instil into each the desire for integrity and faithfulness, and remove any iota of fraud or corruption from their activities. May our leaders be honourable men and women, who will do their best to build up our country and not make changes for their own self -satisfaction, but for the good of our land. Guide and help us all to make the right decisions in all our dealings! God, bless South Africa and all our people, and help us too, we pray!

The Needy

There are men, women and children who are facing critical issues Lord, and are facing illness that is debilitating in so many ways. We pray for Your healing hand to rest upon those we name before You today, asking for Your loving touch to restore them to full health. Bless and help our loved ones, Lord, we pray, in Jesus’ Name!

Monday 11 th June               Matthew 4 : 12 - 17

Jesus begins His work!   After Jesus had spent 40 days and nights in the desert He was prepared for the ministry that God had called Him to. In His time in the desert He had been tempted and had resisted and overcome the tempter. God has been preparing Him for the work that was to come, to tell the people about the greatest God of all, and how He wants to connect to His people. Jesus brought the message of love, joy and hope telling people about our gracious and loving God. He came to change people’s perception of God as a harsh, demanding God. He presented God as a God of love – a Father to all mankind! Jesus went around helping people and healing those in need. His life was one of service to all people, to encourage them to grow in their relationship with God, our loving Father. Give thanks to our Lord and our God – for His Son, Jesus, our Saviour and Friend!

Tuesday 12 th June               1 Peter 2 : 18 - 25

Jesus suffered for us!   Christ endured so much for our sakes. He faced hardship and pain! He was insulted and beaten, but never said a word. He carried our sins to the Cross, so that we could live for righteousness. What a sacrifice. Jesus was totally unselfish in His suffering. He did not cry out, or berate those who made Him suffer but endured it all in dignity and silence. He was beaten for our sins, our wrongdoing, yet no word of condemnation passed from His lips. His sacrifice gave us an example so that we could follow in His footsteps. By His pain and suffering we are healed. We, who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and Saviour of all mankind, look to Him and wonder at His Grace in the midst of suffering. He endured it all for our sakes. He suffered so that we might be made whole. Praise the Lord of Lords. He suffered and died so that we might live! Blessed is the Lord and Saviour of all mankind!

Wednesday 13 th June          1 Peter 1 : 3 - 9

Blessings!   God has many blessings prepared for us. They are not for now in our life on earth, but for when we finally leave this place and enter Heaven where our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, waits for us. In the meantime hold fast to your faith which is so precious to God, our Father. May it endure for all time. The day of meeting will be a day of rejoicing, for we will meet our Lord face to face and will receive salvation for our souls. The blessings that wait for us are beyond our imagining. Jesus Christ has prepared a place for us where we will be with Him for all eternity. We look forward to that day of meeting, but in the meantime we must keep our faith and trust in Him. This life we now live brings honour to our Lord. We rejoice that we have been chosen to belong to Him for ever more. Thanks be to our Lord and God!

Thursday 14 th June             John 7 : 24

Judge by God’s true standards!   Remember, ‘We are in the world, but not of the world!’ We walk to a different drummer than the rest of the world. Jesus is by our side every minute of our lives, guiding us in all that we do. We hear His gentle words when we come to a crossroad in life, telling us, “This is the road – walk in it!” As we step out we know the peace of His presence guiding us and we know that we are on the right road. Jesus guides us with his standards, which are not the same as the world’s standards. We live by His standards with integrity, honesty, kindness, truthfulness and faithfulness to God’s call upon our lives. We are constantly helped and guided by our Lord and when we are undecided over some issue or other He comes and helps us find focus once more. The Lord is always near. Thank You, Lord, for Your companionship and help. You are the Lord of Life! Praise Your Holy name!

Friday 15 th June             Galatians 4 : 12 - 14

Loving care! Paul commends the Galatians for their care when he was ill. They did not turn away from him but cared for him as they would care for an angel of the Lord. They counted it as a great pleasure and honour to receive him and care for his physical comfort. This is the way we should be today – reaching out in loving care for those who are facing trials of health. We pray regularly for the sick, that God will heal them from their suffering. God hears the prayers and in so many instances has healed in a miraculous manner. Keep on praying at all times and for all who are in need of improved health. God has called us to be prayer warriors and to be faithful in praying for those in need. Call upon the Lord! He hears our prayers and blesses the ones in need. Thank You, Father God, for Your love, care and healing touch!

Saturday 16 th June           Isaiah 42 : 10 - 13

Sing Praise! Our God is a loving, caring God who goes before us into the day to prepare the day for all that we have to do. He blesses us as we go out in His Name, and ordains all our meetings and work. Every moment is planned by the Lord. It is of no mere accident that you met that friend today. God planned for the time of sharing. Give praise and thanks to our Lord who takes care of us in such a wonderful way. God knows everyone all across the world and plans for each life. That meeting with our Lord, Jesus Christ, was planned before we were born. God wants to connect to us. Sing praise to God of all creation. Give thanks for His provision. Give praise to His Holy name. He is to be honoured. Let the Holy Spirit stir in your heart and lift your voice to praise Him. Give thanks for He is Eternal. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. We worship Him!!

Sunday 17 th June

We come Lord, on bended knee before Your Throne of Grace. We worship and honour You and offer our hearts and being in Your service. Call upon us Lord, and tell us where You would have us serve You. No matter where You send us Lord we are ready to go to serve Your people as You require. You have blessed us so abundantly with Your loving kindness and urge us to share with many others. Help us each day to be loving, kind and caring to all who we meet, and to share Your love as much as we can. We worship and honour You Lord, and desire Your Name to be honoured by all mankind everywhere. Blessed is the Lord God Almighty, and His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, as well as the beloved Holy Spirit. You, God of all, are our delight and we long to fulfil Your will and way in our living. Bless the Lord, O my soul. We praise You Lord! We love You Lord! We live to serve You to the very best of our ability. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Hallelieuia!

The Practice of the Presence of God

The second major expression of unceasing prayer is associated with practitioners of prayer as Brother Lawrence, Thomas Kelly, and Frank Laubach. Their profoundly simple approach is to go through all the activities of our days in joyful awareness of God’s presence with whispered prayers of praise and adoration flowing continuously from our hearts. Brother Lawrence, who called himself “the lord of all pots and pans”, crystallized this idea in his now famous comment, “the time of business does not with me differ from the time of prayer; and in the noise and clatter of my kitchen, while several persons are at the same time calling for different things, I possess God in as great tranquility as if I were upon my knees at the blessed sacrament.”
