We also boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance brings God’s approval, and His approval creates hope.

Romans 5 : 3

Our Ministers

We praise and thank You for the one You have put in charge of our church, Lord. You called him and chose him to lead us, and You have equipped him with the skills required to teach and instruct us as You require. May Your blessings rest upon him, Lord, as You guide him day by day and show him what must be done to help this community grow in knowledge and love. Bless all that he does, Lord, and may Your instructions encourage him in this task. Lord, thank You for the willingness, enthusiasm, and love that is shown in all that he does in Your Name. Bless him and his family, Lord, we pray.

Thank You Lord, for each member of this community and the gift of themselves which they bring week by week. You have established this church and are teaching and instructing us all in the ways of our Lord. May we be eager to learn and help others grow in knowledge of Jesus, our Lord. You have brought us together as one people under Your leadership, Lord, and we pray that we may grow and welcome many more into our community. Bless us Father, as we seek to live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour!

Church Leaders

There are many men and women who are ready to serve You, Lord. You show them what is required and as they take on that responsibility, You are gracious in equipping them with the ability to lead! Bless the task that they have taken on and may they grow in wisdom and knowledge as they seek Your leadership for the task at hand. Bless all men and women who lead in any particular ministry, Lord, we pray!

South Africa

We pray for our country, Lord. May the leaders of our land and parliament be faithful to the tasks they have been given. We ask that You will grant wisdom and honourable responsibility to the ones in control. We pray too for the people of our land, that they may grow in their following You and yield all that is not worthy into Your hands. Watch over our people Lord, and grant Your favour to those who lead in any way. We pray for men and women across our land to always do the best they can for one another. Teach us Your loving ways, O Lord, so that we can live in peace and harmony with one another. God, bless South Africa we pray, and guide her in Your perfect will!

The Needy

Lord, we pray for those in need. There are many who face illness, or other difficulties, and we pray for Your hand of blessing for each one we name before You. Hear our cries, O Lord, on behalf of our loved ones and those in need!

Monday 17th September              Galatians 5 : 16 - 26

Human nature changed by love!   Our human nature is far from ideal. Jesus came to show us what is required. He was perfect in every way and His nature was the same as God’s. If we desire to be like our Lord, we have to subdue and change and to be filled with the Spirit of God. The Spirit works in us day by day changing us slowly and surely to be like our Lord. We begin to be filled with characteristics that show how closely we are following our Lord. Love becomes the focus of our lives and the other parts of our nature change too. Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness grow in our lives. We become more honourable as well. The last one mentioned here is self-control. Often this is the hardest to change, but by persevering this one does become a fruit in our lives. Give thanks to God for changing us and giving us the desire to be more like our Lord, Jesus Christ. May our lives please the Lord!

Tuesday  18th September                   Habakkuk 2 : 14

God’s Glory!   This verse gives us an awesome view of the extent of God’s glory. We know the extent of the seas and oceans of the earth, and scientists can calculate how many billions of litres of water there are. This is the extent of God’s glory. He is Lord Almighty and we are privileged to have knowledge of Him and His glory. What a wonderful experience awaits us. We will be in the presence of the Lord of all. His glory will shine from star to star – giving light to the whole universe. We will come and worship Him with every iota of our being. God – our Father, our Saviour and our Holy Spirit, God, three in One, and One in Three, will be worshipped endlessly. Glory to our God on high. Blessed is He - worthy of all the praise of all living beings. Praise God, now and forever more. He is worthy of all our praise!

Wednesday 19th September                    Psalm 1, 2 & 3

Call out to God!  God desires a loving relationship with us, His children, and we should desire it with just as much passion. Call out to God! Seek Him with earnest prayers! Follow His instructions. Build a loving relationship with Him. Speak to Him of your deep desire for knowledge of His loving kindness. Come each day into His presence to worship and praise Him as God Almighty. Be as David and love the Lord to the fullest extent of your heart. He is waiting for you to come and seek Him. He can be found, for He longs for His children to acknowledge Him as our loving Father and Lord. He provides all we need and He watches over us and protects and guards us. Give honour to the Lord God Almighty, our Father and our Friend

Thursday  20th September           Habakkuk 3 : 17 - 19

Trust!   Our God is a faithful God. He never fails us. He is always ready to help us as we seek His will and way for our lives. God is trustworthy. No matter what we have to face our God is always near. Ask of the Lord and He will answer. He gives advice that is wise and He directs our ways. There are times when we have reached the end of our tether and there is nowhere else to turn but to our God. He knows our trials and troubles and is always ready to help. Even though we have nothing in this world we are assured of a place with our Lord in Heaven. God will not let us down. Come before Him with praise – yes, praise in the midst of troubles, for God is ever faithful and true, and will help us through our troubles. Trust in the Lord. Don’t let your faith falter but take it to our Lord. He will increase your faith for He is gracious, kind and loving in every way!

Friday 21st September                      Psalm 103 : 1 - 22

God loves us!   God’s love for us is shown in so many ways. He chooses us before we are born and watches over us each day of our lives. He forgives our transgressions and heals us from all sorts of sickness. He is full of mercy and He pours out His grace in generous measure. God is our Father and takes great care of us – His children. God knows our frailty and comes to help and support us when we stumble in life. We honour God for His everlasting love. We know that we are blessed by His abundant love. God is good and His goodness lasts forever. As we live faithful lives, trusting in our loving Father, He blesses us abundantly. God takes care of us day by day in kind and loving ways. He fills our lives with good things. Blessed is the Lord God Almighty. We worship and honour Him, giving thanks for His everlasting love. Praise the Lord, O my soul! Bless His holy name!

Saturday 22nd September                         Jude 20 - 22

Keep the Faith!   Stay strong in your faith. Build yourself up through reading God’s Word. Pray regularly. Attend fellowship and worship the Lord with love in your heart. Spend time before the Lord seeking His will and way for you and determine to obey Him whatever He wills. Spend time in study of God’s Word and learn more about Him by doing so. God is kind, and loving and sends His Holy Spirit to teach and instruct us in the way He desires us to live. Rely on the Lord in all things, for His wise counsel guides us on right paths. Be guarded in your behaviour and treatment of others, just like Jesus. He showed us how to live as God’s own. Speak with others of your faith and trust in the Lord of All, and do your best at all times. God is faithful and wants us to be faithful too. Put your trust in Him each day. Pray to Him and praise Him, for He is Almighty, worthy of all your love!

Sunday 23rd September

All glory, praise and honour to Thee, O Lord, our King. We come with hearts full of love for You, for You have shown us how we should love. You are our Lord and our God, and we desire no other to share in our lives. Not one day can go past without our thoughts turning to You and Your loving kindness. Thank You that You have called us to be Your own, and to spend time in Your presence, seeking to know Your will and way for our lives. We are grateful for the Holy Bible, where we can read and study God’s Word. You show us the passages about Your life, Lord, and as we read You reveal Yourself to our seeking hearts. Lord God Almighty, we worship and honour You this day, and thank You for the plan You made for our salvation. Thank You, Jesus that You were obedient to our Father, and lived on earth to show mankind how God wants us to live. You showed us love at its very best, and encouraged us to live with as much love in our hearts as God has given us. Blessed is Your name, O Lord, and we give You thanks and praise with all our hearts! Praise to our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and always. Hallelieuia!
