When, however, the Spirit comes, who will reveal the truth about God, He will lead you into all the truth. John 16 : 13

Our Ministers

Lord, those who minister to us have an awesome responsibility. They have spent many hours in Your presence, seeking Your will, and preparing sermons and teaching to bring to the people You have placed in their care. They watch over the flock You have given them, and do their best to bring the Good News to them all through preaching, teaching, and sharing Your Word. Bless them in the long hours they spend in preparing the message to bring to the people of this congregation. Lord, bless each one and their families, as they live to serve You with love and passion.

We bring our church and people to You, Lord. As we gather each week Lord, we wait eagerly to hear the message that has been prepared, to learn from the teaching and then to go out, and help others learn about You, through our sharing and caring. Bless us as Your people, gathering together to share our love for You, and to learn through Bible Study and care for those of our community.

Church Leaders

Thank You for each leader, Lord, who brings their various gifts and talents to help others grow in their faith walk. You have appointed men and women to lead in various areas in the church, to help in the children’s ministry, or lead a home study group, or prayer meeting. There is eagerness Lord, to get involved and we thank You for every person who has stepped forward and offered their services, to ensure the smooth running of all the different activities. Thank You for them, Lord.

South Africa

Lord, bless our land and people. We pray for every citizen of our land, that they may stand together to work to ensure that all goes well with the running of our land, through the leadership that has been appointed. Lord, we look for Your grace and favour upon all our citizens, and that they will live in peace and harmony. We pray against the crime and violence that takes place, and for the many people that are affected through such behaviour. God, bless our land and people, we pray. God, bless South Africa and all her people.

The Needy

Bless all those in need this day, dear Lord. We name them before You now, praying that in the kindness and goodness of Your grace that You will help and heal each one we name before You. Thank You for Your loving care, Lord!

Monday 27th May               1 Corinthians 11: 23 - 28

The Lord’s Supper!   As we gather together round the Lord’s Table, we join with our Lord Jesus Christ in the same way as He joined with His disciples so many years ago. He challenges us to examine our hearts, quietly, and confess our sins – those we have done willingly, and those we have failed to do when challenged to do so. Cleanse your heart and mind, so that you can come to the Lord’s table with a clean heart and mind. Are you ready to partake of the blessing that Jesus wants us to experience? He broke the bread and gave to each of His disciples, commanding them to eat and remember His great sacrifice for mankind. He also took the cup, gave thanks and gave it to each one. The symbols of the bread and the wine are His sacrifices of Body and Blood that we are to remember forever more. This is to be a blessing for us for all time. Praise His Holy name!

Tuesday 28th May                 Hosea 11: 1 - 11

God’s love for His people!God loves His creation. He called the Jewish nation to be His own – to follow Him faithfully and know His blessing for all time. But they were rebellious and did not want to listen to God. They went their own way and followed other gods. Still, God did not discard them or turn away from them. He drew them to Himself with love and affection. He took care of them even though they rejected God and turned to false gods. God’s heart of love could not give up on His people, Israel. His heart cries out, “How can I give you up, O Israel? How can I destroy you? My heart will not let me do it. My love for you is too strong.” God‘s loving care for His people is unchanging. He watches out for them and guides them to safe pastures. Like sheep without a shepherd, He gathers them to Himself. He will never let His people go. God is love. His love for His creation is full and strong and absolutely pure!

Wednesday 29th May          John 14: 18 - 19

He lives!Because He lives, I can face tomorrow! Because He lives, all fear is gone. For I know, I know, who holds the future, and life is worth the living, just because He lives. When an urge to experience the love of Jesus fills our hearts, He reminds us that He is with us, closer than breathing. Just because we cannot see Him with our physical eyes, it does not mean that He is not here. We can experience Him in our hearts. We can know His presence as His love floods through us, and we worship Him in spirit and in truth. Our Lord lives! He may not physically appear to us, but His Spirit fills us and satisfies our longing. Our Lord lives in heaven, alive forever more. We believe this and know that one day we will join Him in paradise. Praise God for His plan for our life with Jesus in Eternity. Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Thursday 30th May             Psalm 54: 4

God is my Helper! It is comforting to know that God is always awake and watching over His Creation. He assures us that He cares for us and helps us in so many ways that we have no knowledge of. We are blessed to be able to turn to Him at any time and ask for His help, or protection, or guidance. He wants us to come to Him and He wants a loving relationship with us. Do we seek the Lord for the joy of His company? Or do we just seek Him when trouble comes our way? We need to trust our Lord. He encourages us to come to Him at any time to seek the comfort of His presence, to chat to Him, and to receive His blessing. God is our Helper. He is always available. He watches over us all the time, to care for us. Give thanks to the Lord our God, our generous, loving Father and Lord, who gives us the best there is. Praise and thanks to Lord Almighty. He is Holy and worthy of praise. Bless His Holy Name!

Friday 31st May             Psalm 131: 1 - 3

Trust! There is nothing more beautiful to see than someone who trusts the Lord – absolutely. Their faith is in our Lord and Saviour, and they go out into the world secure in Christ’s promise of “I will be with you always!” We have read these promises of God, His Son and Spirit, and do believe them, but somehow the world presses in and we take our eyes and heart off the Lord and succumb to the lies of the world. Yet, if we could live in an attitude of complete trust in our God we would live a life of contentment and happiness. Trust in God is a blessing. We can live in peace with our every desire focussed on our Lord. God’s promises are to be believed. Live in His care, trusting Him in all things. He will never let you down. A humble, trusting soul is a delight to our Loving God above!

Saturday 1st June              Psalm 15: 1 - 5

What God requires!Throughout the Old Testament God spells out to His people what He requires of them. He tells them constantly that they must obey Him in everything that they do – their words, deed and actions. They must be on good terms with others and not do wrong to them. They must always do what they promise – no matter the cost of their decisions. God spells out very clearly the sort of behaviour and actions that His people must hold to. Disobedience does not please God Almighty. He created man and woman to be His companions, but their wayward behaviour broke down the relationship God desired. It was because of their inability to learn what God required that He decided to send His Son to earth to show His people how to come back into a good relationship with Him. Praise God for His plans for our well-being.

Sunday 2nd June

Praise the Lord, O my soul. Let all that is within me praise His Holy name. We come, Lord, with love in our hearts, to offer You praise and thanksgiving for Your loving care for us each day. Your ever-loving watchful care ensures that we are kept safe forever more. You call us to come to worship and in that time before You we are blessed by Your presence and Your loving touch upon our lives. How can we thank You enough, O Lord, for calling us out of the mire into the glory of Your presence. We look to You, blessed Lord, for care and companionship. Teach us how to live in peace and harmony, and to worship and please You through all that we do. We are Your own, Lord, and come with heartfelt praise to glorify You. Blessed Lord, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, You are our Lord and our God, and we worship and honour You. Blessed is the Lord our God. Holy is He and worthy of all praise. We love You, Lord. Hallelujah!
