Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs.

1 Corinthians 13 : 4 - 5

Our Ministers

Lord, we thank You for the kind and caring qualities that You have placed in the one You have sent to be our leader in the church. We thank You too for their patience and loving care of all the people who gather together in Your Name, and in this place of worship. Guide and guard our leader, Lord, and show him the way You desire him to serve You amongst the people here. May his example inspire us to follow You more closely and to love one another, just as You love us.

As we gather together week by week, Lord, we thank You for Your presence and loving care for each one who joins together to worship and praise You. You have brought us together to be called Your own, in this place of gathering. We honour You, O Lord, and thank You for caring for us and the services that are held here. May we constantly praise You and worship Your Holy Name. You are our Lord and have established Your church in this place. Thank You, Lord!

Church Leaders

Bless all the men and women who have offered their services in this church. You have many tasks that need to be done, and You choose men and women to work there for You. Help them to be strong leaders and to guide those You have put in their care, as they serve to the best of their ability. Thank You for each one who leads in any way in the church, Lord, enabling others to grow in their faith and trust in You. We thank You for those who pray so diligently, seeking Your will and way for all the tasks that need to be done. Praise the Lord, for He guides us according to His will and way!

South Africa

God, bless South Africa, and we pray for the summer rains to come and enable the crops to be planted and grow. Your hand is upon all activities across our land, Lord, and we pray that You will guide the leaders who have been appointed to Parliament and make the rules and laws that ensure smooth running of our country. God bless the doctors and nurses who work so diligently in the hospitals and clinics across our land, taking care of those in need of medical help. Bless the young people too, for they are the future leaders of our country. Bless us Lord, as we seek Your will and way for all our lives, and may we give You honour always!

The Needy

There are many in need Lord, and we pray that Your touch of help and healing may rest upon each one we name before You now. Help them in this time of need, Lord, and bless us all with Your loving touch. Thank You, Lord God!

Monday 25th November               Revelation 3: 15 -16

Are you hot, cold, or lukewarm? How dreadful it will be if when we meet our Lord one day, He says, “You are neither hot, nor cold in your relationship with Me. You are a sometimes Christian. This is not what I desire.” Jesus calls us to be in a warm and loving relationship with Him. We need to be dedicated to Him, seeking Him often, inviting Him to be our daily companion. Jesus wants a love relationship with us! Do you love Jesus, wholeheartedly? Or do you forget about Him while you take part in life’s exciting pursuits? Jesus did not die just for a half-hearted follower, but He died so that you might live. To live is Christ, fully, wholly, totally. Look again at your relationship with our Lord. Is it warm and hot, or lukewarm and cold? Make up your mind today. Jesus loves you eternally. Can you love Him like this? Follow the Lord, earnestly and devotedly!

Tuesday 26th November              Psalm 121: 1 - 8

God protects us! We all need someone who cares for us and will watch out for us and give us protection. God is that One. He cares for us by day and by night. He is always awake, taking care of every part of His Creation. He knows what we face each day and guards us from harm. No matter where we are or what we are doing, God knows! If we are being kind and caring towards another, God knows and smiles down on us. God cherishes those who keep His commandments. He rejoices when we have loving hearts that reach out to help another who is in need. Our God is a Mighty God! He sees all! He knows all! He plans good things for our lives and rejoices when we come before Him with praise and honour, worshipping Him with loving hearts. God is a kind and generous God. He cares for us and guides us on safe paths. Praise God for all the blessings He bestows. Worship Him!

Wednesday 27th November          1 John 4: 13 - 21

God is love! When we first gave our hearts to Jesus we felt the overwhelming love of God flooding our being. It was like nothing we had experienced before. The euphoria that touched our heart and soul made a deep impression. God loved me! That experience has carried us day by day and we have fallen deeper in love with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as we come to Him in prayer, reading, studying and learning. God’s love in us helps us to love our fellow man. It sustains us day by day, and has changed our outlook and behaviour. God’s love enables us to love all manner of people. There is no longer any ill-feeling against anyone. We can forgive any wrongs done to us. God’s love has made such a difference. We live for God and His Son Jesus, helped daily by the Holy Spirit. Praise God for His wonderful love. Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all His benefits!

Thursday 28th November             Joshua 5: 15

Holy Ground! Joshua met with the commander of the Lord’s army. At that holy place Joshua was told to take off his sandals, which he did. He listened to the order from the Lord and obey His instructions. Do we seek the Lord’s presence with awe and wonder? Do we prepare our hearts before seeking our Lord and our God? We should do so. We cannot come into the Lord’s house with lack of reverence. It has been consecrated as a place where we worship the God of all! Remember this. God is Almighty and we should desire to worship Him with honour. Come before our Lord humbly, with grateful hearts, bowing love before Him to give Him honour. God is to be revered and honoured above all. Blessed is the Lord God Almighty. Holy is He and worthy of all our praise. Come before Him. Revere and praise Him. Bring Glory to His Holy Name. He is our Lord and our God!

Friday 29th November         Ephesians 1: 3 - 14

God’s ownership!  God has always wanted His creation to be in a loving relationship with Himself. He set out a plan for that to come to fruition. This involved the birth of His Son, Jesus, who by means of His Grace became human and lived among men. Those who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour were called by God to be sons and daughters, brothers and sisters to His beloved Son, Jesus. Thus God put His stamp of ownership on us through the giving of the Holy Spirit to all who believe in Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God was given as the guarantee that God will fulfil His promises and that we will receive what He has planned. For by the sacrifice of one life for all mankind, God fulfilled His promise to bring all of creation together with Christ as Lord. Praise God for His wonderful plan for the salvation of all who believe that Jesus is His Son. Praise God, now and always!

Saturday30th November              John 7: 17

The authority of God!     When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we allow Him to take authority over us. He requires that we be willing to do what He requires and we will know that what Jesus teaches comes from God Himself, the Ultimate Authority of all things. We must submit to the authority of God for our own lives. If we want to do things on our own and by our own authority we will find that we could be living in complete contrast to the way God wants us to live. Submit to the Lord and let Him guide your thinking and doing. His way is the way to follow. Everything He does and requires us to do is in line with His requirements and authority. Listen to the still small voice of reason from Jesus to our hearts. We accept the authority of Jesus and God Almighty for our lives.

Sunday 1st December

Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness, bow down and worship – the Lord is His Name. We honour You, O Lord our God, and thank You for Your loving care of every part of Your creation. We look to You for everything, Lord. You provide the food, the water, housing and supplies. There is not one thing that we desire that You do not readily give us. Thank You for Your provision of all that we need. You give us homes to live in, family to love and care for one another, places of worship where we gather to honour Your Name. There is not even one need that is not provided by Your grace and loving self. We honour You O Lord our God, and come to praise and worship at Your feet. Blessed is the Lord. Holy is He and worthy of all praise. We offer ourselves this day, O Lord. Use us to Your Glory. Praise and honour be unto our God. Hallelujah!
