REVERENCE FOR THE LORD IS GOOD; IT WILL CONTINUE FOR EVER. THE JUDGEMENTS OF THE LORD ARE JUST; THEY ARE ALWAYS FAIR... Psalm 19: 9

Those who proclaim God’s message speak to people and give them help, encouragement, and comfort.

1 Corinthians 14 : 3

Monday 9th December                 Jeremiah 4 : 4

Keep your covenant! We must remain faithful to our Lord and our God. We made a promise to keep our covenant with the Lord, but so often we forget and go our own way. Our covenant is a solemn promise to be faithful to our Lord and our God and in return He will bless us abundantly and keep us safe in His care. We fail God so often as we forget Him while we are busy with our own desires. We forget to worship Him; to praise Him, to come to Him in prayer. We forget to say thank You for all the blessings He pours out on His beloved ones. Truly we are a wicked and weak people. Turn back to the Lord of Lords. He is our Father, our Creator, and our Lord. There is none greater than He. Worship the Lord! Bring honour to His Name. Come before Him to give thanks for His loving care. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Give thanks to our Lord and our God!!

Tuesday 10th December                 1 Peter 2: 9 - 10

Chosen! As a follower of Christ you have been chosen by God to proclaim the great deeds and wonderful acts of God. You have been called out of darkness into His Glorious Light. You know God, His mercy and His love and are now acknowledged as being His people and belonging to Him. All that You do will bring honour to His Name. You are no longer an outcast, but you belong to the family of God. You are acceptable to Him, sons and daughters of the Most High God, brothers and sister to Jesus, God’s beloved Son. God has chosen you to belong to Him, to worship Him as Father and to hear what He desires of you. He calls you to go out and work to promote the Kingdom of Glory. God in His mercy has called you to belong to Him for all time. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. He has called us to belong to Him forever. Praise God now and forever more!

Wednesday 11th December          Habakkuk 3: 17 - 19

Don’t lose hope! When we look around at the world today and see the wickedness that abounds we can so easily lose hope. But God tells us that He is still in control and what He has said will come to pass. The good that people do will enable them to be saved. Those that live by evil means will know the full wrath of the Lord. Look around the world and see how wickedness has taken over. Lawlessness, crime, violence is everywhere. But do not fear. Do not lose hope. Those who trust in the Lord will be safe for all eternity. They do not take part in the ways of the wicked. They follow the laws of the Lord God and desire to be His people. God sees their loving kindness and faithful service for Him and blesses them. Trust in the Lord and do good in the land. Trust and hope that God will protect His loved ones. Give praise to God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He takes care of us all!

Thursday 12th December             John 7: 4

Don’t hide your talents! God has given each person some talent to be used in His service. It is up to us to discover that talent and to use it to give honour to our Lord. We need not be ashamed of what God has given. It may be small, or it may be a life-changing gift, but it must be used to honour our Lord. We must not hide that talent, but also must not boast about it. Do what God has given you to do with honour and enthusiasm, working steadily at the task until God tells you that your work is finished. God calls us each to serve Him faithfully and it is up to us to do so with enthusiasm and perseverance. Ask God to bless the work of your hands to give Him honour. He has called you to the task, He will give you the ability to complete it. Don’t hide your talent. Work to the honour of our Lord and our God. Praise God for the talents He has given for us to use to His Glory!

Friday 13th December         Daniel 5: 1 - 30

Interpretation!  Daniel was the only man in the kingdom who was able to interpret the vision that the king had experienced. He was able to do so for God gave him that ability because of his faithfulness to God alone. God gives us ability too. If we follow Him with faith and trust He gives us messages to bring to others. God speaks to the faithful heart. He tells us what He wants us to do, and them blesses us as we go out to do as He requires. God’s Spirit speaks to our hearts and directs our ways. God rejoices as we work at the task He has given us to do and increases our wisdom and knowledge. We rejoice over the truth of God’s love upon our lives that enables us to share His good news with others. Speak out about the great feats of the Lord. Tell of His love for His creation. Our Lord and our God is Mighty to save. He rejoices over His faithful people. Praise His Holy Name.

Saturday 14th December              John 17: 1 - 26

God made known! Jesus made a promise to God that stands for all time. This promise has great meaning for us. Jesus said of God, “I made You known to them and I will continue to do so, in order that the love You have for Me may be in them, and so that I also may be in them.” What a wonderful promise that Jesus will continue to make God known to mankind. Everyone born has the opportunity to get to know God our Father, through the love and revelation of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, our Lord and Saviour. To have Jesus with us and in us each day gives us an ability that we never had before. We know the love of God and of His Son Jesus. We are called to belong to Jesus and to know His great love for us, and His willing sacrifice of His life for our salvation. Such love can only come from the heart of love, from God Himself. He makes Himself know to our seeking hearts. Praise God – always!

Sunday 15th December

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His righteousness. Hallelieuia!! We come Lord, to worship You and give You honour and glory. This time of the year we gather together as family and friends to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. You sent Him from Heaven to be our Lord and Saviour, and we give You thanks and praise for His life, given up for us. We have the perfect one to follow and emulate, giving honour to You, O God, our Father. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit we are able to know You and to worship and honour You with heart, soul, mind, and strength. Blessed Lord, You take care of us day by day, watching over our goings. Thank You for Your loving care, and guiding hand upon our lives. We praise and worship You O Lord, longing to lift You high so others can worship You too. Bless the Lord, now and always. Praise His Holy Name!
